Trump ‘Threw You Under the Bus’ ‘Fox & Friends’ Host Tells Ramaswamy

Ramaswamy’s appearance on the morning show aimed to draw last-minute interest in his floundering campaign to be the GOP presidential nominee in Iowa. But co-host Steve Doocy was more interested in the flak the biotech engineer had been taking from the Republican frontrunner, Donald Trump.

Brutal question

Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy was plain-spoken during his conversation with Vivek Ramaswamy on January 15, bluntly asking the GOP presidential hopeful why his rival Trump “threw you under the bus” in the previous week.

Ramaswamy was sitting at a distant fourth place in the latest Iowa GOP primary polls and appeared on Fox News’s flagship morning show to drum up some last-minute interest in his faltering campaign hours before the Hawkeye State’s Republican voters went to caucus.

The inevitable happened

Doocy was more interested in pushing the millionaire biotech entrepreneur on the former president’s recent attacks. Despite Ramaswamy’s efforts to pander to Trump and his MAGA supporters throughout his campaign, the ex-president finally took aim at the self-dubbed “Trump 2.0.”

“Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, ‘the best President in generations,’ etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

There’s only one Trump

“Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the “other side” — don’t get duped by this. Vote for “TRUMP,” don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA. The Biden Indictments against his Political Opponent will never be allowed in this Country, they are already beginning to fall! MAGA!!!”

Tough question

Doocy confronted Ramaswamy, who was sitting with his wife, during his appearance on the morning show about the Trump attack, which he had long avoided.

Vivek deflects

“Why do you think former President Trump threw you under the bus over the weekend?” Doocy asked. Ramaswamy attempted to deflect the Fox host’s question, responding, “Well, I didn’t get thrown anywhere, but I think there might have been an attempt to do that.”

Wintry weather

“You were under the bus, and the bus had snow tires on it!” Doocy added when the GOP hopeful tried to play down Trump’s attack.

Continuing his efforts to downplay the former president’s comments, Ramaswamy said he “took it in a light-hearted way” before telling viewers that they would “have their head stuck in the snow” not to see his “massive surge” in Iowa.

White nationalist endorsement

Furthering his case that he would “shock” with his performance in the Hawkeye State, he trumped his endorsement from far-right former Representative Steve King, who Congress condemned for his defense of white supremacy.

As Ramaswamy was being lightly mocked by Doocy for losing to Trump, the former president again took to Truth Social to take a swing at his rival: “A VOTE FOR VIVEK IS A WASTED VOTE,” Trump wrote. “I LIKE VIVEK, BUT HE PLAYED IT TOO “CUTE” WITH US. CAUCUS TONIGHT, VOTE FOR DONALD J. TRUMP, BUILD UP THE NUMBERS!!!”
